What We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account Information: Email address, name, and password when you create an account
• Content data: Videos you generate or upload, captions, hashtags, and scheduling preferences
• App Preferences: Your settings, customizations, and notification preferences

Information We Collect Automatically

• Usage Analytics: How you interact with the app to improve user experience
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and app version for compatibility
• Performance Data: App performance metrics to ensure smooth operation

What We Don't Collect

We do not collect, store, or access:

• Your personal photos or files
• Your contacts or address book
• Your location data (unless you explicitly enable location-based features)
• Your browsing history outside the app
• Any data from other apps on your device

Connected social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube)

When you connect accounts in Connections, we store OAuth tokens securely and use them only to publish or schedule content you request. We do not sell this data.

• TikTok: We use TikTok Login and Content Posting APIs to post on your behalf per your visibility, interaction, and commercial disclosure choices in the app.
• Instagram (Meta): We use Instagram Login to connect your Creator or Business account and publish Reels (and optional comment tools if enabled).
• YouTube (Google): We use Google OAuth to upload videos to the channel you select. This is separate from ClipsPilot sign-in unless you also use Google login.

You can disconnect any platform at any time in Connections. Platform policies also apply: TikTok Terms, Instagram Terms, YouTube Terms.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide Our Service: Enable video generation, library storage, and social publishing
• Improve the App: Analyze usage patterns to enhance features and user experience
• Personalize Your Experience: Remember your preferences and provide relevant suggestions
• Ensure Security: Protect your account and prevent unauthorized access
• Provide Support: Respond to your questions and resolve technical issues

Data Security & Storage

Local Storage

Generated videos and account data are stored on our servers so you can publish and schedule across devices. OAuth tokens for connected social accounts are stored securely and used only to post on your behalf.

Cloud Backup (Optional)

If you enable cloud backup, your data is encrypted before transmission and stored securely using industry-standard encryption protocols. You can disable cloud backup at any time.

• Limited employee access to user data

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in these limited circumstances:

• With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share specific information

Children's Privacy

ClipsPilot is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

International Data Transfers

If you're using ClipsPilot from outside the United States, please note that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers are located. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data.

Your Rights & Choices

You have the right to:

• Delete Your Account: Remove your data from our systems
• Control Notifications: Manage your notification preferences
• Export Data: Request a copy of your account and content data where applicable

Data Retention

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will remove your data within 30 days. Some information may be retained longer if required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app or email. Your continued use of ClipsPilot after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
